Slovenia's highest road pass. Up the Russian Road from Kranjska Gora, built by prisoners of war in 1915 to 1917, past the Russian Chapel, then down 26 hairpins into the Trenta and the Soča to Bovec.
Since 15 June 2026 both ramps run through barriers that read number plates. Passing through is free; the summit car park, 80 spaces since 1 September, is entered by ticket in the right-hand lane. Terms for 2027 are not yet set.
